I am a graduate from Governors State University with a bachelor’s degree in Media Studies. I also hold an Associate in Arts and a certificate, in Digital Design from Moraine Valley Community College. After participating in my school’s sports broadcasting internship for two years in a row, I have accumulated over 200 hours of experience in the media industry. The internship has given me the chance to advance my knowledge of media and filming while allowing me to build the skills I need to qualify for this role.

 

The highlights of my academic career include

• Assisted with covering live GSU basketball and volley ball games

• Skilled in operating studio servers and uploading special graphics, commercials, and lower thirds

• Filming interviews between the top GSU players and coaches

• Helping write and record commercials for GSU’s services and facilities

• Experienced in writing news stories, conducting interviews, working with on air talent, shooting news reels, and reporting accurate and non-biased information

 

Additionally, I am adaptable and eager to learn new things, I work well in groups or by myself, I am organized and keep up to date on assignments and deadlines, and most importantly, I am a dedicated hard worker who is always looking for a challenge.
